The Anini Beach / Kalihiwai area is reminiscent of Tahiti and the South Pacific. Anini Beach is protected by a huge barrier reef and offers good snorkeling, windsurfing, and beach combing during certain times of the year.
Anahola, while technically on Kauai's East Coast has a large white sand beach and is only a few short miles from the actual beginning of Kauai's North Shore which is the town of Kilauea.
Haena is located near the road's end and World Famous 'Tunnels Beach'. It is a short 4 mile drive from Hanalei along a road that winds around the cliff sides high above the Pacific. Those who travel frequently say that this is the most beautiful place on Earth.
Hanalei is an artsy, and unusual small town just down the road from Princeville. Hanalei has a two mile long white sandy beach with a large beach park and perhaps some of the best views to be found anywhere.
Princeville sports some of the finest vacation homes on Kauai and is nestled among several World Class Golf Courses which has hosted several National Tournaments. Princeville overlooks Hanalei Bay and The Pacific Ocean to the North and West and mountain waterfalls to the South and East.
